"Saturday
If you happen to see a large group of possibly drunken Santas on Saturday night, do not rub your eyes or check your pulse - it is not a symptom of too many drinks or too much Christmas shopping.
It is, simply, the Second Annual Santa Stumble Annapolis, billed as Annapolis premier holiday pub-crawl. This free-for-all event, which raises money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday night at Dock Street Bar & Grill (136 Dock St.). Participants show up, in full costume, and proceed to stumble their way across town on a predetermined route of bars and pubs.
Pre-registration is not required, but costuming is. As the organizers say, "hats alone are unacceptable … Stumbling is not a spectator sport." You need not be a Santa - past participants have been elves, Mrs. Claus and other holiday creatures. If you are fresh out of such attire, word has it that outfits can be found at Wal-Mart, Target and Party City.
T-shirts are available for sale - this is where the fund-raising comes in - and they sell out fast. More than 40 participants are already registered - visit www.santastumbleannapolis.com for more information or just show up at Dock Street at 8 tomorrow night. Just make sure you're dressed from head to toe in holiday finery."
